How do I manage media privacy?
Media visibility follows the profile, activity, group, product, or other area where the media is posted.
What to do
- Before uploading, check the audience or destination shown by the composer.
- Use a private or limited group only when that group’s privacy matches your intention.
- Review profile field visibility for profile information.
- Delete the media if it was posted to the wrong audience; changing a profile field does not necessarily hide an existing activity attachment.
- Never upload sensitive identification, payment, or private-message screenshots publicly.
