Why can’t I add someone as a friend?

The friend button can be unavailable when you already sent a request, are already friends, one member blocked the other, or the account cannot accept requests.

What to do

• Check Log in to friend requests for a pending request.
• Check Log in to my friends to see whether you are already connected.
• Reload the member profile and look for a pending or cancel-request state.
• Do not use another account to bypass a block or restriction.
• Ask support with both profile URLs if the state appears incorrect.
