This is going to be a long one, so thank you to anyone who reads and tries to help. I am six days away from my next promised Demo update and my project has run into a serious issue that I will try my best to explain.

I was having a friend playtest the latest build and they brought to my attention that the game would crash when ever they navigated to the skills section of the main menu. So I booted up a new game, checked Red's skills. And it was fine. So I played the game enough until Red gets her first weapon, a Knife that teaches her both a Knife skill category and a Knife skill called Slash. Opened the menu, navigated to skills. And it crashed. Now I did a lot of testing. And even if I did a new game where Red knew both the Knife category and the Slash skill by default at level 1, the game would still crash when trying to inspect said skill from the menu. The same was true for other categories except for the Physical one as far as I could tell. So perhaps an issue with skill categories?

So next I did the obvious thing and turned off all of my plugins. Loaded a new game, repeated the process. And it worked just fine. No crashes. So one by one I turned things back on and very quickly I found the crashes started up again once the Items and Equips core from Visustella was active. Now this baffled me for a number of reasons. For starters I dont believe I have EVER touched this plugin since I don't understand javascript anyways, and I simply just liked the way it gave more info to the equip and shops screens. But I failed to see why it would be interacting with the skills screen in any way either.

To make sure it wasnt a conflict of any kind, I made a stripped down version of my game, deleted every event, every map, every common event. Made the most bare bones version I could. Put an NPC that levels you up to learn a basic skill and another that gives you the Knife. Booted up a new game, and interacting with either NPC and gaining a skill would still cause a crash upon trying to inspect said skills in the menu.

So I went to my previous backup build from last month. Which is nearly identical save for having less story content, less enemies, and lacking a fishing and mining game that I created. And that build still works perfectly fine. So I have no idea why suddenly it doesn't in the current build. Even with every other script (save for the cores) deleted. And with every common event and event gone. So it can't be that any of the new content broke it if it's still broken when they are all deleted.

Next I created a brand new, fresh game. All I did was make the Knife skill category. Made the Sharp Knife that teaches you said category. And made a Knife skill that the weapon also teaches you. Tested. Game worked fine. Now here's where I reach the point where I feel like I've gone insane. I copied JUST the core plugins from my game to this new one. Turned them on. Booted up a new game. And the game immediately crashed without even reaching the title screen.

So confused I decided to just download the Visustella sample project again. Add in the relevant Item and Skills again there and it should be fine right? But no it too failed to even reach the title screen. Now I was losing my mind at this point so I deleted the sample demo. Re-downloaded it. Changed NOTHING. And it still crashed before ever reaching the title screen. So I can't even ATTEMPT to recreate the issue in a new game because every project I put these core plugins in, is suddenly refusing to even boot up. Even when everything is at the complete default settings.

I am genuinely at a complete and total loss and don't even know where to begin or what to do. I'd chock it up to my computer but the issue was first noticed on my playtesters machine so it CAN'T just be me. But yeah. I need help lol.

Now the error you get when the game crashes is this "expParams" of null error. Which I've seen before when I tried to call upon data that I deleted, like an old class. But I don't understand what that has to do with viewing skills in the menu? Especially again when I've not changed Red's class, weapons or skills from the last build, where this error is non existent. I'm also going to provide a link to the bare bones version of my game so anyone can try and mess around with it. I'd do more myself but when I can't even boot up the sample project I've pretty much reached my mental limit. You can download my project here
Here is an additional linkto Visustellas free sample project containing all the core plugins. Since I couldn't even get a test run of this to work and I don't see any comments over there reporting a similar issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated and if you need any more info that I can possibly provide don't hesitate to ask!

------------
Main issue was class related so I'm kicking myself for not double checking every FUTURE party member. Though if anyone can confirm that the visustella sample project works for them that would still be appreciated to know. Otherwise I don't even know what the problem with that would be.
