I want to use the VisuStella Message Core Plugin – among other things, to provide my RMMZ game with multiple languages. Here you can find the team's very detailed guide to this function. Cool stuff!
And everything worked out fine ... at least until I tried to change and save the CSV file in Excel.

It says: "Some features in this file will get lost if you save as CSV (comma-separated)."
This is followed by several prompts to confirm whether you REALLY want to save the file, and when you finally do, the Maker immediately gives an error message during playtesting.
This is independent of what is changed in the file. I also tried to edit the CSV file with Open Office, but it has the same problem.

- During my research, I couldn't find anyone who has this specific problem with the VisuStella plugin.
- However, it could be that CSV files in general tend to cause issues, especially in different regions.
- For example, it is recommended to change the list separator. (We in Germany need our commas and therefore often use semicolons ...?) I have accordingly done this in Excel and Windows itself, but nothing changes: As soon as I try to save this file in any way, the computer ports it into a format that VisuStella can no longer handle.
- Nevertheless, after some help in the German forums, I suspect it might have to do with the special characters. I checked if the file is in UTF-8, and it is. I checked if the problem persists if I save a file without special characters, and it does.
