I am trying to use this plugin here. It places tiles on specific regions. The problem I have is that it places on top of events. I have events that spawn in random areas so I don't know where they will be at any given time. The creator of it has said to use script calls to check if events are in the area where it will be placed. I am struggling to figure this out. How exactly should I go about doing that? I need to see if events...

I am trying to use this plugin here. It places tiles on specific regions. The problem I have is that it places on top of events. I have events that spawn in random areas so I don't know where they will be at any given time. The creator of it has said to use script calls to check if events are in the area where it will be placed. I am struggling to figure this out.
How exactly should I go about doing that? I need to see if events are within a square/rectangle area. For example: an 8x7 area from the player. Not just a single tile. This area also changes depending on where the player is standing and facing.
