I've run into a problem with the YEP Instant Cast plugin in MZ where defeating an enemy with an instant skill makes the next battle freeze without loading its input menus. See screenshot below of a frozen battle:
In this example, I set up a new project with only the Instant Cast plugin and added an <Instant> note tag to the default attack. I then started a battle and attacked on my first turn to knock the enemy out in one hit. This processed without any problems. However, the next battle I started was frozen and did not allow for any input. Demo project here, if it helps.
I found a couple of older threads about this same issue (here and here) without any solutions. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
EDIT: I've tried the same project with FOSSIL and the issue was still present. I also made a project in MV with the same setup, and ran into the same issue there. Based on this, I don't believe the problem is due to compatibility issues, but with the plugin itself.
