Summary
So I'm trying to export my first game in MV. I'm trying to export as a web browser based game on itch.io. I'm considering exporting to Newgrounds as well possibly. It's a purposely bad game I made in a few hours for a game jam. I saw this forum post here but I'm not quite sure I understand it. Here are my questions. 1) Since I'm uploading to itch.io, I shouldn't need to worry about filezilla or anything like that, right?

I saw this forum post here but I'm not quite sure I understand it. Here are my questions.
1) Since I'm uploading to itch.io, I shouldn't need to worry about filezilla or anything like that, right?
2) The post says third party plugins will be made public. Does that mean the source code or something? People being able to reverse engineer stuff they shouldn't? It doesn't matter for this particular game since it's just a silly thing and I'm not using any but I'll want to know for the future when I do upload it.
3) under export it says don't deploy under my own project directory to avoid confusion. So in my instance I have game files for creation go under documents - games - name of my game. This is saying don't deploy in the (name of the game) folder. But I can still deploy the games folder right? Is this something that actually effects of the game works or not or strictly on my end to not make it more confusing?
4. I tried uploading the game here on itch. The play button works, but that's it. I think I saw somewhere that it needs to be zipped for it to load properly on itch and I didn't zip it before I downloaded it, so not sure if that's the problem? File size shouldn't be an issue since it's small but not sure if it's a format thing. It only gave the option to upload one file and it wouldn't let me select a folder, so I just selected the index file but not sure I did it right.
