Hello! Well, it took a while to be sure that this was a problem. I think the title might be a little confusing too, but I tried to describe it as best as I could up there. Down here though, this script issue just seemed so specific that it's still a little difficult to make it completely clear, I think. Hello! Well, it took a while to be sure that this was a problem.
I think the title might be a little confusing too, but I tried to describe it as best as I could up there.

Down here though, this script issue just seemed so specific that it's still a little difficult to make it completely clear, I think. In any case, let me go ahead and just link the script's site page right now:

Sorry that my first ever post on this site is basically "So I have this problem. Please help me." But anyway, long story short, when using a skill that's tagged with <Instant> in its message box, it causes the last member to use the instant skill to go first, regardless of agility, priority, or anything else that would normally run to determine who moves first in a battle.

For example, going from Top to Bottom, with the actors selected by their order in the party,
Actor 1 uses the 'Instant Skill' and hits an enemy then selects an item(we'll say that has its speed at 2000).
Actor 2 uses the 'Instant Skill', also hits the enemy, then selects a normal attack(assume its speed is 0).
Actor 3 selects Guard(we'll give that 1500 speed).
Actor 4 just selects a normal attack(again, speed is 0).
Also, in order of Agility, let's say it goes Actor 4 > Actor 1 > Actor 3 > Actor 2... with 2 being the slowest overall.
Then, of course there's the random enemy, but just assume it only has a normal attack and is slower than everyone anyway.

The script seems to make the intended function work. Actor 1 used the 'Instant Skill', then selected an item, and Actor 2 also used the 'Instant Skill', then selected a normal attack. The <Instant> tag ignores turns makes that move go before everything, so the enemy has already been hit twice before the turns are taken up. It all runs things like everything is normal at that moment, and Actors 3 and 4 choose their moves.

After it's all said and done, following the 'Instant Skills' running their course, it sounds like (save for very slight internal deviation for turn order the default system has), the turn order should go: Actor 1 uses the item, Actor 3 Guards, Actor 4 attacks the enemy, then Actor 2 also attacks the enemy, and lastly the enemy will perform their move of choice, right?

It actually goes: Actor 2 attacks the enemy, Actor 1 uses the item, Actor 3 Guards, Actor 2 attacks, and enemy attacks, in that order... What? Why did Actor 2 go before everyone else?

Well, after many upon many tests in both Battle Test and the actual Playtest, it seems to consistently prioritize the most recent user of an Instant Skill's turn before literally anything else. I don't know if this is an intended function of the script, but it sure doesn't seem like it. No other plugins aside from base javascripts needed to load the game were used in the tests.

I hope that all made sense, and hopefully I'm not just going mad, haha.
I provided a demo for anyone who might want to see it in action below.

Thanks so much for your time, and hopefully I provided every bit of information/resources needed for this.
