I plan on make some action/horror game so it's kind of annoy me that the player see what in the room through the wall before enter it I know that we can separate map for room by room but that too much for transfer feeling what I want is the room turning black until player enter the room

and that can do with some black event sprite
but with variety of room side it's kind of a maze
so the question is
what the best way to do it
yes this is a want not a need
