I was wondering if there is a way to make it so the sprite will be a little more centered rather then the bottom starting right from the bottom of the sprite itself. not sure how to word what I am saying so here's a picture to explain hat I mean.

A) the character appears to be floating because the bottom of the sprite is where it starts,

The sprite appears to be standing on the ground because it is leveled properly.

The reason I am trying to implement this is because when facing down I want the character to equip large swords and it extends longer from where the character's feet are.
