Some custom fonts aren't showing up with YEP Message Core

Summary

If I used \fn, the font shows up in something like times new roman even though the font is placed in the game's fonts folder. If I install the font then it shows up just fine, but I don't want the players to have to install the font in order to use it. I noticed that if I change the font in the gamefont.css it shows up fine, but I don't want all the menus to have the new font, just the messages. EDIT: I just tested 4 more custom fonts and they're doing the same, and one of them was displaying really small.
