I have a radio in a house in my game that plays a song when you hit the action button as shown here

When you hit the action button, it plays a real life song
however, page two REFUSES to work!!
I want the user to hit the button again to resume normal BGM for the area and page two is set up like this

However, despite the priority being set as "same as characters" and trigger as "action button" the event REFUSES to play the original BGM for the area! The music triggered in page 1 continues to play regardless of how many times I press the action button.
I tried changing the event command to "resume BGM" instead of play BGM but the problem persists. The radio with the real music continues to play. I do not want the real life music to loop so it is set as a ME.
Page 2 SHOULD be active because page 1 has a self switch A and page two is set to self switch A as a condition but it STILL IS NOT working
Page 3 is irrelevant. That is when a giant bird is attacking the house and the house owner yells that there are pressing matters to attend to and that dialogue is not going off so page 3 is NOT the fault.
Does anybody know what the problem could be?
