I've been playing around with RPG Maker MV for 4 days now and have been trying to get the following working... I'm trying to involve a cutscene within a conversation with an NPC (flashback/memory type thing) What I'm trying to get working is; 1 - Player talks with NPC

I've been playing around with RPG Maker MV for 4 days now and have been trying to get the following working...
I'm trying to involve a cutscene within a conversation with an NPC (flashback/memory type thing)
What I'm trying to get working is;
1 - Player talks with NPC
2 - NPC beings to tell a story, screen goes dark and player is teleported to a new map (player is transparent and a new set of events are in place)
3 - NPC's are set to have their own conversations and movement routes
4 - At the end of the cutscene, Player is then teleported back (transparent is turned off) and continues the conversation.
5 - When the Player tries to interact with the NPC again, the NPC starts with a new conversation.
Right now... I'm struggling to find a way to prevent the Player from replaying the same conversation.
I've noticed that I can continue the conversation in the events used for the cutscene however...How can I make it a one off?
Eg. the NPC will say something like "You now know the story..." rather than "Let me tell you a story"
I've tried playing around with switches - At the end of the cutscene the switch is turned "on" but can't seem to get it to link with the NPC...
Any ideas?
