Summary
Okay, so my game has my main character, Alto, as a Bard class. Long story short, my world has it's magic system run on sound- your voice, music enc - and so, being inflicted by the Silence state (assuming you have magic anyway) is really bad. So bad in fact, that it's actually possible with enough power and force, to have your target be Silenced permanently. Usually it's not, though, and most likely unless I make another Silence state that's worse, the standard one will do. That's Alto's greatest fear...

That's Alto's greatest fear is to have Silence inflicted on him. The first boss of my game, Maestro Sonorous, inflicts this on him on purpose during the fight not out of malice (he is Alto's mentor, after all) but because he wants him to conquer his fear. Since this is a safe environment they're in, with healers and magical items that remove said status, he figured it would be better for him to be inflicted by it now rather than when he's potentially alone adventuring. Better safe than sorry, right?
And I was wondering if it was possible for me to have a unique state called Panic Attack for Alto that's akin to my Fear state except instead of raising my Attack/Magic Attack and Defense/Magic Defense and chances of Counter Attacking/Magic Reflection (was made WAY before Yanfly's Counter Control plugin) and Guard Effect by 100% each... it's actually lowers them. He can't move, can't think, can't breathe, and is just curled up in a little ball of misery while the state is in effect. And what I think would be really cool is if it could be that, over time, he DOES conquer his fear as he grows as a character and by the end of his story, he doesn't trigger the Panic Attack state anymore because he's grown up as a person.
I figure I can do this with some kind of Variable... but does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve something like this? Pictures below to show off what I have so far. What really annoys me is that MV doesn't let me connect Common Events to States, only Skills... *grumble, grumble*
