I've managed to stave off asking for help on the forums for a significant while, but I'm completely stumped.
I'm wanting to update the text in a window on my main menu dependent on where the player is in the story. I have a similar feature working through the encyclopedia script, which allows players to discover new journal entries and give them an update on where they've been.
However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to create something similar to give the players a single sentence hint as to where they're going.
I've tried using a variable to trigger the statuses, but I'm not having any luck.
At the minute, I'm using just a standard draw_text to put a placeholder in (see the attachment below). Could anybody help walk me through the rest? Any advice would be very much appreciated!
Cheers!
Ian
