Hi everyone,

Well Steam had a huge sale on RPG maker software and being a sucker for a 80% off tag, here I am. 

So I've been playing around and I feel I've gotten the hang of making maps, linking them together and also creating basic events. But for one event in particular I am having serious trouble. I've been trying now, for almost a day to get two NPC's to converse with the player character and trigger a progression onto the next map.

I'll try to explain as much as I can about what I've got set up and the problems I've encountered.

So basically upon entering the shop, the PC is faced with two NPC's, and when activated for the first time they should say different things.

NPC1 - *Smiles Sweetly*

NPC2 - Has the dialogue that progresses the story.

The second time they are activated, it changes thus.

NPC1 - Dialogue to progress story

NPC2: Is now a Shop.

NPC2 is working fine, however NPC1 is still stuck on her first page of dialogue, and she continues to *Smile Sweetly*.

I've attempted to use a Switch, placing it on it's own page on NPC2, just before the Shop Processing tab in the event page, but all this does is causes the shop interaction to loop endlessly. I've got the self switches working to flow from tab to tab, but every time I add a Switch is causes real problems.

I'm doing something wrong obviously and I have read tutorials and other threads here to assist in tackling other issues I've had along the way, but this one has got me pulling my hair out.

I'll put some SS so you can see what I have... I hope it's obvious to someone!

So to recap... I have a shop loop of death with an evil NPC smiling at me the whole time.
