Summary

Hello! I am brand spanking new to this so forgive my ignorance. The default combat mode is in 1st person DragonQuest/PhantasyStar mode, and I would like to implement a side view similar to FF. Is this particularly complicated to set up? I have several other questions regarding resolution and creating map backgrounds that are not tile-based, but the combat is my primary concern first.

Thank you!

This is what I have created so far. I want to get something very simple down as a prototype before I get too ambitious and expansive.

(I would like to implement a six unit party, ala Genso Suikoden)
