Summary
I wish there was a plugin that basically makes the inventory system into the mold of old JRPGs such as Dragon Quest and Earthbound and others, for now, there are only some plugins that get close to the concept like LTN Games Actor Item Stash (which doesn't feature the non stackable items part) although there is one that actually does what I ask, but it's all in japanese, making it harder to use and it seems a bit imcomplete, since when buying something, the game doesn't select which character inventory...

Anyway, here are examples below of what I'm thinking of (It doesn't necessarily need to look like any of the images there, they're just for reference) :
It should work like this:
- Each characters have their own inventories, with their holding capacity being customizable.
- The sections "Weapons" and "Armor" should be removed, but weapons or armor should not take up space from the inventory like conventional items when equipped like in Earthbound and Dragon Quest 3 (the last and first photo respectively) look for example at the Lunar example (middle image), as I said before, the plugin itself doesn't actually need to show the equipment the way it's shown there, but merely the idea of making them "separate" of items when equipped. The "Key Items" section should stay out of convenience, separated of the other character's inventories.
- Items can be discarded or traded between members. Also, perhaps rather obviously, party members who should technically be unable to use items (e.g, being afflicted with death or petrification), should have the "Use" and "Discard" option disabled.
- The presence of an optional bag for less hardcore players, they basically function like your usual stackable infinite inventories except for the fact that you can't use them in battles
- An also optional vault system where items can be kept so that they can be retrieved later, in games that don't feature bags (e.g, Dragon Quest III and Earthbound) this is a necessity.
