Summary
I have no idea what happened to the other thread I was working on. Anyway, the problem is this - I go to a dungeon and some poor sap is behind bars. The door is locked (of course), and I have to go through an arduous process to get the key to open it. One of the conditions to getting the clue to find the key is to get him food and water. Anyway, the problem is this - I go to a dungeon and some poor sap is behind bars. The door is locked (of course), and I have to go through an arduous process to get the key to open it. One of the conditions to getting the clue to find the key is to get him food and water. So I run to the nearest town and get the food and water. And of course, they are two separate items, and not just food and water together, so that makes things very complicated, because if I have either the food or water, I want him to immediately consume it and ask for the remaining (or both) if I do not have all the items before he gives me the clue. The question is, how can I "store" the value of the food and/or water if I have to run back and get one, the other, or both to satisfy the conditions?
Oh, and once I do open the iron door, the guy joins my party and that quest hoopla is over (I hard self-switches do that?), and I am at a loss about that, too.
Perhaps this idea is too ambitious for a complete newbie to the game, but I am excited!
