Summary
Hey everyone. I'm very new to the RPG Maker scene. I've been slowly following a tutorial series I've found on YouTube whenever I find the time. My game seems to be coming along well so far too which is pretty cool. I've run into my first problem though. So I made a cutscene where I go into the basement of a church to meet my friend who has been waiting for me. When I get there he walks over to me and gets onto me because I was really late...

I've run into my first problem though. So I made a cutscene where I go into the basement of a church to meet my friend who has been waiting for me. When I get there he walks over to me and gets onto me because I was really late in meeting up with him. At the end of the scene I have him join my party. When he joins he disappears from the screen which I want BUT when I leave the screen and come back he shows up again in the middle of the room. Does anyone know how I can get him to permanently go away after the scene?
Someone said in a post I found on google that you gotta do something with switches but as I'm fairly new to this whole thing I honestly didn't understand what they were talking about.
Any help would be appreciated.
