Anyway I'm using these two scripts:
Open Menu During Message
Animated Portrait
I'm using other scripts of course but I've isolated the problem to these two.

What's happening is this: the menu opens fine during text (A button/shift). That works. Portraits animate fine, that works too. The problem is when a portrait is on screen (which for me is always when text is happening) and you pause and bring up the menu, once you unpause, there's a "jump" in the picture while it returns to its position on the screen before the menu was brought up.

I first thought it was a problem with the ypos in the portrait script, so I changed the initial placement value instead of using the script call given....while it saves me a lot of work and an extra line in eventing, it still happens.

I'm thinking it might be a problem with how pictures are just updated after leaving a scene but I'm not sure if I can fix it (if it can be fixed)...

Just in case I've not described it well enough (I probably haven't)

Thanks!
