Summary

I admit, there is probably a thread about this somewhere, but I tried for a while and could not find it( i am blind apparently). alrthough i have tried the ones i could find, but they didnt work, and the forums were about problems similar to mine, but different enough that the solutions might have to be different. here is the script http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/4917-khas-awesome-light-effects/ i have tried the solutions, but i am not even sure at this point how im supposed to do the flashing, because i read about 3 different solutions...

I admit, there is probably a thread about this somewhere, but I tried for a while and could not find it( i am blind apparently). alrthough i have tried the ones i could find, but they didnt work, and the forums were about problems similar to mine, but different enough that the solutions might have to be different.

here is the script http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/4917-khas-awesome-light-effects/

i have tried the solutions, but i am not even sure at this point how im supposed to do the flashing, because i read about 3 different solutions to flashing and tinting in khas lighitng, and none of them worked(or im stupid, which is just as likely)

here is my script and the events

here after reading five forums with people asking for help, i am longer sure what surface_ui does when its either false or true.

after at least an hour of experimenting, i have determined that before i place my first event where i actually use this script call below it all works fine. Which means its AFTER that the tint and flash does no longer work.(ignore the bottom right, that was a notification from deviantart lol sorry)

I should point out that these two events happened immediately after each other, and that the fadeout which occurs on the first page, is faded back in on the second. so that isnt whats causing the error.

I read about using a script to cause flashes and tints, or making it so that you can just use the tint screen command to simply do all lighting effects in it. but i am at a complete loss.

here are a few examples of the lighting that comes after i placed that first khas light script call. I doubt this will help, but i have a feeling there is a slight chance it might.

through more experimentation, i realized that if my screen is faded out(as in, i used the fade out command) but if i try to flash before fading in, it wont work. so i modified the events so that the flashes happened with the screen not faded out. that did not work.

From what i believe, none of the other scripts i am using should interfere with it working properly.
