Yanfly Shop Only Showing +0 for MAT Items

At the moment, my characters are completely naked. +0 does not make sense that the staff is simply not an upgrade for them. When I buy it anyway, Yanfly's Equip does show the increase in stats.
Perhaps I'm simply misunderstanding what the +numbers mean. That would be totally fine, then, and I could try to find a workaround.

YanflyShop1 - Shows the +0 to those who can equip the magical item
YanflyShop2 - Shows that the problem does not extend to ATK
YanflyShop3 - Nor does it extend to DEF
YanflyShop4 - Shows that Yanfly's Equip script does recognize that it is an increase in stats - that it is only the shop that is confused

Edit: I made a demo game with my character, class, and magic staff ported in, along with the script. Clearly, the script only shows + to ATK and not magic, as shown in my YanflyShop5 screenshot. Is there any way to fix this?
