I am re-creating the black knight scene from Monty python and the holy grail in my game.
I want him during the battle to actually lose his limbs as he loses health.
say basically at 75% health he loses an arm
50% he loses both arms
25% he loses a Leg
and 0 hp he loses his other leg.
This is an example of a basic sprite setting for the engine I am using (Victor Sant's Animated Battle engine)
'Knight' => {frames: 4, rows: 13, mirror: true, mode: :sprite,
action: :default},
In the Note box of the enemy I have to write: <battler name: Knight> So that it links that enemy to use the imported graphic in the script
I'm not sure exactly how to go about this but I am going to make 4 different sprite sheets for each of the 'stages' the knight goes through.
100% sprite sheet 1
75% sprite sheet 2
50% sprite sheet 3 etc...
I would appreciate help solving this problem.
Edit: Also I think I may be on to the solution already as i found this.... danger: 3, # Low HP pose ( it would be this one)
The 4 represents that it uses row 4 for this state....
Edit 2: I am assuming to do this I will have to edit the script to jump from using row 3 at a certain amount of hp, to another row I create, and simply just make one big sprite sheet.
Edit 3: Link to the script: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5uvwXLAev89ZTVQRTd2T0EwQlk&usp=sharing#list
Go to Victor Sant's drop box, then find Victor Engine - Animated Battle.txt that is the script I am using.
