I tried to make it with events but figured out it will be impossible to do it this way.[/SIZE] [SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The system is ATB based and the idea is to have all characters run on auto battle with only basic attacks.[/SIZE] [SIZE=14.666666666666666px]However when a player presses one of the four directional keys, the next action will become the skill associated with that key instead of a standard attack.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]I am currently using "Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Equip Engine v1.06" to give each character four additional slots to learn four skills.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]I am also using "Yanfly Engine Ace - Ace Battle Engine v1.22" with the ATB and Visual battlers script.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]Max party size (not defined in a script yet) is three.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]Each party member can equip up to 4 [/SIZE][SIZE=14.666666666666666px]skills[/SIZE][SIZE=14.666666666666666px].[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]Preferably the skills are shown together with the name of the character as icons (and maybe names)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]As attachment I made a quick sketch to give a slightly better idea.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]I almost got it running by making a event in the Troops tab of the database that when up is pressed, power attack is used if the character has power attack equipped. However then the whole event goes into a endless loop and the battle doesn't progress. Also, if i remember correctly in RPG Maker VX you had the option to select [as next action] and now it's instantly.[/SIZE]
