Hello everyone! Over the past few days, I have been receiving some glitches with RPG Maker XP. For instance, ("Enter" Button and "Cancel" Keyboard buttons not working in game). This is the most recent one. This is a different game, where I experimented to find the glitch and I succeeded in doing so. Hello everyone!
Over the past few days, I have been receiving some glitches with RPG Maker XP. For instance, ("Enter" Button and "Cancel" Keyboard buttons not working in game). This is the most recent one.
This is a different game, where I experimented to find the glitch and I succeeded in doing so. Here we have our main actor, Ryu, going to battle a foe from a nearby village.

The battle begins! Once he enters battle, firstly, our actor, Ryu, has the option to Fight or Escape.

Once he chooses to best the foe in battle, he has the option of basic attacking, using magical skills, or using an item.

He chooses to take the foe head on and attack! However, what is this? Ryu can attack himself?

Even Takashi (his party member) as well?

As it turns out, all the party members have gained the access to attack their own teammates and the monster as well.
Once Ryu attacks himself and gains a meager amount of damage, a sound plays where he supposedly 'falls' in battle as if he were knocked out and then subsequently, the game freezes, halting the adventure.

I just experienced this glitch today, and I don't know where it came from. How did this happen and how can I avert this? If this cannot be averted, I guess this will be another project that is moved to development for RPG Maker VX Ace.
*My best guess that could have caused these mass of glitches was when I used a script for XP because I required help with something weeks ago, but the script appeared to be incompatible with XP as it caused glitches in almost my projects from then on, and I had not once ever received glitches nor bugs before that day. Then again, I could be mistaken because XP is quite outdated but do incompatible scripts corrupt files?
