Why is this feature good?
This feature is great because of the following:
- Nobody wants to blow their speaks on startup. Just becuase you have a softer default start melody, doesn't mean there shouldn't be basic volume controlls.
- Most users wants to set their settings by themselves, but none of them wants bleeding eardrums because they start a new game on their computer and windows volume controll thinks that everything should start out on max.
- This will be added by countless people making scripts, having it by default isn't a bad thing. (Giving the rpgm-team some brag rights)
- By adding this people will have an option to controll all audio at one place, instead of setting the volume to 80% or so everywhere just because the normal volume is a bit too loud to them.
- Starting sound test, it starts at 90%, why does the game then start at 100? and isn't adjustable anywere before it starts? This would fix that issue.
- People making creepy games can set the default music volume to be lower than bg-effects such as footsteps to make for a creepier setting. Sure the user can change it later, but it would still give the dev some global options.
Possible issues with this feature?
Issues that might arise from this feature:
- A lot of people will have more free time since they don't have to make a script for this themselves.
- Some script might already have been made.
- Some might forget that they have edited this, put in a lot of music and not understand why they can't hear anything.
