  Hi, I recently started using RPG Maker VX Ace (I literally downloaded it last night) and I'm working on my first project - a game which, for now, is called The Islands. At the beginning, you get to pick a gender, then a name, then the name of your sibling (gender of sibling depends on your chosen gender). You then wake up on an unknown island, where a autorun text event says "Hey, where's (name of sibling)?! I'd better have a look around for (him/her) using that boat over...

  Hi, I recently started using RPG Maker VX Ace (I literally downloaded it last night) and I'm working on my first project - a game which, for now, is called The Islands. At the beginning, you get to pick a gender, then a name, then the name of your sibling (gender of sibling depends on your chosen gender). You then wake up on an unknown island, where a autorun text event says "Hey, where's (name of sibling)?! I'd better have a look around for (him/her) using that boat over there!" When you press Space, it turns on a switch called SkipIntro which makes the intro event stop happening. For some reason, this works for the boy, but not for the girl.   I tried changing it to a self-switch and that made no difference.
