Summary
So I've been playing with the idea for a while but only recently have I figured out how to actually do this. The idea is simple: a traditional semi linear RPG that makes use of ig maker for it's menu system as a way of building a turn based battle system. I would make a seperate canvas for battles with it's own menu that would be able to show items easily. As a sprite with text. The advantages I see in this are that you can make your battle system...

The idea is simple: a traditional semi linear RPG that makes use of ig maker for it's menu system as a way of building a turn based battle system.
I would make a seperate canvas for battles with it's own menu that would be able to show items easily. As a sprite with text.
The advantages I see in this are that you can make your battle system similar to something like legend of dragoon or paper Mario and also that animations work quite well in IG maker and you have the potential to make a really high resolution game
This would let you feature really big and beautiful sprites
If anyone has any ideas or some more knowledge of this I could implement into said game, it would be great to see if we could come up with enough theories to be developed into a game!
I would definitely do it myself. My sprites aren't that great but I'm currently developing sprites for 2 other IG maker games, and both sets are different styles which would work perfectly as char and battle char sprites.
And of course, any thoughts on the matter are appreciated
EDIT I attached a sample of what another game I'm working on looks like. this could serve to show what I've accomplished with customization in IG maker. The sprite in the sample is an example of what the chars would look like and my avatar is an example of what the battle char would look like.
