Hey folks, Since I have been working on this game I have been trying to come up with interesting ways to do puzzles that aren't just traditional puzzles seen everywhere, or at least a variation of a popular puzzle. Hey folks, Since I have been working on this game I have been trying to come up with interesting ways to do puzzles that aren't just traditional puzzles seen everywhere, or at least a variation of a popular puzzle.

In this tutorial I will show you how I designed the trick floor puzzle.

Basically you have to walk on the right square or it transfers you to back to the start of the (path?)

First we will make our path:

Then we set up our events (where you DON"T want your player to walk)

And finally we put them where we want them to be:

So what I have done is used a transparent tile and a nifty paralax to show behind it, and set up basic transfer events on every square you don't want to be able to walk on.

If you step on the wrong tile, you get sent back to the start.

I know this is super basic, but I am sure someone will benefit from this.

Happy RPG making folks!
